I present to you a franken that I love. It is a dark blue jelly with 3 different types of silver glitter in it, one so fine it reflects as little particles when hit by light.
and with flash:
The polishes used are Sally Hansen Diamond Strength in "Diamonds" (this is the really fine glitter that adds the extra WOW factor), Orly "La Playa" for the blue base, Sally Hansen Hard as Nails clear (any clear base will do though) and two really old and really cheap silver glitters of mine (they are about 10 years old, yet still like new, apart from the yellowing of the base).
Sadly I could not capture the true beauty of this polish with my camera. You can see the bigger silver glitter suspended between the layers, and as you move your fingers the little twinkling of the fine fine glitter of the Sally Hansen. I think I may end up wearing this again today when I put on new fake nails (sadly, I had to cut down my nails, and have nubs atm, these pictures are of my real nails, however).

Small Update
Just wanted to add a quick update to let everyone know that I haven't disappeared again. I have been sick with laryngitis for 3 weeks now, and have been working straight through most of it, so all I want to do is sleep, and haven't been up to doing much more than mindless watching tv shows or movies when I am awake. I do have a decent sized haul to take pics of and post, and pending the pictures turning out, a really pretty franken to post as well :D

Blocked Nail Art
This next look I did quite a while back, saved the pictures but never got to upload them. I had a good concept, but missed on the execution on some nails.
Sadly I do not remember the colors used exactly. I started with a base of white. The yellow I think is the same OPI as the previous post, the orange I believe is a Sally Hansen Extreme Wear, and I think the red may be from Nina Pro. The stripping brush is Kiss Nail Art in black.
The fingers that I do not like are the left hand index and thumb, and the right hand middle and index, as they do not follow the pattern I originally was going for. They were definitely eye catching, and I had a lot of fun creating them.

Sometimes Nail Art Fails
You know when you have a cool idea, but the concept just doesn't come out properly? Well that's what the mani I'm going to show you was for me. I think these "fails" are good to show, as you learn from them what needs to be improved for the next.
I used OPI's "Need Sunglasses?" for the base, and a Kiss nail art striper for the design. The yellow is the perfect iconic smiley face yellow. What I think needed improvement with this was not using the striper for the design, instead using a proper shorter nail art brush. I plan to revisit this design in the future.

Red Glitter....so pretty!
Figured I would get a post in while I am at home, sick again (have had laryngitis for over a week now). This is the mani that I am currently sporting. It's very unlike me, as I'm not a fan of red polishes for some unknown reason. Alas I was in an odd mood the other night, wanted something quick, easy to apply, bright and blingy. Those wants usually lead me to a glitter :P
This is a pretty red glitter from Color Club, 3 coats. Sadly my bottles do not have any names on them, but it is from a more recent glitter collection. The glitters in this collection (came as 7 together) are very easy to apply, and aren't too chunky or rough, requiring only one coat of top coat to satisfy my tastes.
On a side note, if anyone knows how to fix the blurryness of my camera it would be really helpful. I use a sony cybershot (nothing fancy, sadly), and do not have a pedestal for it, so I have to hold it as still as I can while taking my shots.

First Konad
This is the first manicure I did using my Konad plates, a while back. Some nails turned out well, others not so much. Definitely a learning process to this technique. I used OPI's What's with the Cattitude?, and a brown that I cannot remember.
I never did find the usb cord for the camera, but I did find another way to get the pictures onto my computer, and a new photo editing site (not as many options as photoshop, but with works for now). So I anticipate more posts :D
