NOTD and Blogger Sale Haul

This is a mani that I did late night/early morning. I wanted something simple just for the day.

This is Bronze Beauty from Cover Girl. It's a nice smooth bronze, easy to apply, and it has tiny bits of orange/copper that you really only see close up once on the nail.

Sad news for all the Cover Girl polish lovers out there, they have gotten rid of their nail polish line (all those awesome glitters gone!). My source for this news was a rep that was doing the spring reline in the store that I work at. Sad news. They should have at least kept the glitters, I figured those would have sold well.

The picture below is the arrival of the polishes that I bought in a blog sale, The Kronicles of a Konader. She was very friendly in our correspondence, even bending to ship to Canada (at my cost, of course, which I didn't mind paying). They were all well wrapped, and it gave me a chance to get some brands that aren't available to me, and they were priced quite well.

1. Funky Fingers - Hyperi (love love love, even the bottle is cool!)
2. Color Club - Ms. Socialite
3. Color Club - Gossip Column
4. Color Club - Rebel Debutante
5. Sinful Colors - Shausha
6. China Glaze - Mrs. Claus
7. Funky Fingers - Volts
8. Milani - Dude Blue (neon)
9. Evil Shades - Gothic Goddess (really eye catching)
10. China Glaze - Bogie
11. Evil Shades - Tethys
12. China Glaze - Japanese Koi
13. Hot Topic - has no name. dark periwinkle color
14. Sinful Colors - See You Soon

Very happy with my purchase. Can't wait to play with some of these amazing colors.
By the way, does anyone know where one can purchase Funky Fingers nail polish (like an etailer, that will ship to Canada)? I want to get my hands on more of this polish. I am in love with the bottle, and would like to try their formula on their normal polishes (the blue is a neon, doesn't give a true representation).

Shatter Fail

Couple things went wrong with this mani. First my shatter was gloopy. I've had it not even a month and it's not the same as it was when I bought it. Second while I thought that Amour's Rain Glitter would be so pretty peeking through with all the glitter awesomeness that it is, I was wrong. Sections pulled on the Amour polish underneath creating clear spots.

I have been wearing this for a couple days, ends are all worn and it's chipping. Just not sure what I feel like wearing at the moment.

Neon Shatter

After the awesome neon coral shattered mani I decided to try another neon color.

This is China Glaze's Kiwi Cool-Ada. The color is not properly represented in the second photo. It is much more neon. It was a very nice combo as well, it grew on me over the days that I wore it. This color does however apply very streaky, and I did 4 coats and still wasn't fully satisfied. Neons bring some bright happiness to counteract the 7 feet of snow we have, and that keeps growing, outside.

New Fave Mani

I think I've found my new favorite mani.

You even get to see both hands! There are a lot of coats in this mani. Base is two coats of Finger Paints Papier Mache, then 3 coats of China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy (my fave from the collection, surprisingly), one coat of OPI's Shatter, and 2 coats of Seche Vite top coat.

This mani is so bright, and contrast between the neon and the black are awesome. So very eye catching, I cannot stop staring at it. Sadly I have tip wear showing and a chip on my thumb, so I will have to change my mani very soon :(

I am loving the shatter polish, very fun. My only complaint with it is that it dries too quickly. I do one stroke on one side and before I can get to the other side it's dried and cracking. Really bad on bigger nails (like my thumb).

A Pink of Interest

Now I'm not a huge fan of pinks, but this one did catch my eye.

This is OPI's Teenage Dream from the Katy Perry collection. I love the multi-color shine of the bigger glitter in it. Was a nice application, pretty smooth and only needed one coat of Seche for it to stay smooth. Was a pain to remove though, the big glitter would not come off my nails. I didn't realize how close to my nail/skin tone this color was though. It looks darker in the bottle, but it could also be that this was only 2 coats.

National Wear Red Day

Today is National Wear Red Day to raise awareness of heart disease.
I decided to do a red mani in honor of this day.

This is Finger Paints in Primary Color. My only real red in my collection.

As you can see I'm sporting horrible nubbies, which are a pain to paint. So I shall continue to sport some fake nails for a bit till the nubbies get a little bit longer.
